Walking Boots

Cleaning Walking Boots need not be a chore; your choice of footwear for walking, especially winter walking

I have been going on walking holidays for many years and walking boots have been my biggest bugbear. I have tried so many different types and the only boot which has felt really comfortable is a Brasher.

The leather is so soft and they never need breaking in, it’s a really great walking boot for ladies.

On our French Alps and Dolomites walking holidays the terrain is a little more difficult and  comfortable walking boots with a vibram sole are really important, however on our Peak District short breaks approach shoes are great.

Simply Hike Walking Boots

If anyone is considering some new walking boots take a look at Simply Hike it’s a great user friendly website and below is their thoughts on my favourite boot.

The Women’s Hillmaster II GTX Walking Boot has been called “Britain’s most loved hill walking boot”. It has been through a 10 point improvement plan to provide even more performance and comfort for hill and valley walking. This Brasher women’s walking boot has a full grain leather upper. It also has a Gore Tex lining to keep your feet completely dry. The collar and tongue now has memory foam added for luxurious comfort. The re-positioned locking hook gives extra heel hold for support and the gender specific fit makes all the difference to the feel of the boot. This Brasher walking boot is a fantastic choice for hill walkers.
