Terms and Conditions

There isn’t much small print, but we need to protect you and us from the unforeseen: Reading this is the first step to ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable walking holiday without incident.

We accept credit cards via the Paypal system, bank transfers or a cheque made payable to Pinnacle Walking Holidays.Please note: payment by Paypal will incur a 2% handling charge.

A non-refundable deposit of £150 per person per holiday is required at the time of booking and the final balance is due eight weeks before commencement of the holiday.

On receipt of your deposit a confirmation of your reservation will be sent by post or email.

You will receive all other holiday information after the final balance has been paid.


In the event of a holiday cancellation of any person or persons on the booking form we will apply the following cancellation charges for each person.

» More than 42 days before the commencement of the walking holiday; deposit is retained.
» Between 42 and 31 days before the commencement of the walking holiday; 50% of the total holiday price is payable.
» Between 30 and 15 days before the commencement of the walking holiday; 75% of the total holiday price is payable.
» Between 14 and 0 days before the commencement of the walking holiday; 100% of the total holiday price is payable.

Cancellation must be put in writing to the company office and will take effect from the date received.


Michael Chadderton is a UK qualified walk leader and holds a current First Aid certificate. All other staff are carefully chosen for their specialist experience and leadership skills.

Please note that you join our organised walks abroad at your own risk. However, we are confident that our knowledge of the walking areas we visit and our leadership skills will ensure that you will enjoy the very best holiday experience.

We  recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover cancellation, personal accident, illness and loss/theft of personal possessions and/or money.

The insurance should also be arranged to cover non-refundable costs should you have to cancel your holiday due to unexpected personal circumstances.

We do not accept any liability for fatality or other injury suffered.


Pinnacle Walking Holidays regret we cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is affected, or you the guest otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of Force Majeure.

Force Majeure means any event in which we the supplier of the services in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.

Such events include war or threat of, riots, terrorist activities, fire, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions and all other events outside of our control.
