WALKING BREAK GRADES

All our guided walking breaks in Amble require a reasonable level of fitness, walkers should be comfortable with a moderate degree of exertion and challenge.

Alternative walks, either accompanied or independent, will be available for those who would like a more relaxing or challenging day; route guidance and maps provided.

We classify the majority of walking tours on our Amble Walking Breaks as EASY/MODERATE. This means a walk of four to five hours, usually on well trodden coastal paths.

The weather or group circumstance may dictate a change in our walking plans to include EASY or STRENUOUS walks. An easy walk is usually three to four hours at a relaxed pace, taking in the flora and fauna en-route; gradients are gentle. A strenuous walk will cover longer distances.

We always walk at the pace of the slowest person and like to give guests the opportunity to take in the beauty of the surroundings.
