Perfect views, great accommodation, lovely food and warm hospitality make this a wonderful place for a short walking break in the Lake District: We just love it!
The Three Shires lies in the unspoilt valley of Little Langdale five miles west of Ambleside, and has been run by the Stephenson family since 1983.
The hotel has a cosy lounge with log fire. Breakfast and dinner are served in the refurbished dining room. It has a fabulous bar serving local ales and an excellent wine list.
We have chosen the 4 star, AA rated, Three Shires Inn as the base for our short walking breaks in the Lake District as we have had many happy times at this beautifully situated Inn with its close proximity to some excellent walking.
The Three Shires Inn lies in the unspoilt valley of Little Langdale and is run by our friends Jane, Ian and Elaine.
