This peaceful and unspoilt corner of England is the perfect place for a relaxing short walking holiday. The Yorkshire Dales is a landscape of dark fells, steep sided green valleys criss-crossed with dry stone walls,the countryside scattered with stone farm houses and field barn.
Wensleydale is the base for our guided walking holiday close to dramatic Aysgarth Falls and the impressive Bolton & Middleham castles.It is also famous for the cheese which is made at the Wensleydale creamery in nearby Hawes.We walk through the villages of Muker and Gunnerside in Swaledale, from where we explore the remains of the lead mining industry of the 19th century and admire the impressive views from the top of Kisdon.In Wharfedale our guided walking will take us along the Dales Way close to the picturesque village of Starbotton, we then ascend Buckden Pike with impressive views of the Yorkshire three peaks.
