We have now finished our walking breaks for 2021, so we can take a few days enjoying the area we live in and what it has to offer. This week we spent the day exploring the Chatsworth estate.
The estate is so beautiful in the autumn and the deer are everywhere. Autumn colours are stunning at this time of year and the house looks majestic.
Chatsworth was the home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family.
Renowned for the quality of its art, landscape and hospitality, Chatsworth House has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of succeeding generations. Today, Chatsworth contains works of art that span 4,000 years. This includes works from ancient Roman and Egyptian sculpture to masterpieces by Rembrandt, Reynolds and Veronese.
